Our vision
Embrace a child—Empower a nation.
We believe that our children hold the keys to the future—both for Zambia and for the world. By providing them with a home that offers nurture and care, we seek to give our children the means to become independent leaders who will transform their nation.
Daughters of Zion International, or DOZIN, is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that strives to empower, educate, and care for orphaned and abandoned children in Zambia. There are an estimated 1.2 million orphaned children in Zambia, most of whom do not have access to housing, basic healthcare, clean water, and food for every meal. Infants, toddlers, and young children are often abandoned on the streets, deserted in medical facilities, or left in public restrooms. If fortunate, they are placed in overcrowded and underfunded orphanages.
DOZIN wants to change this reality—one child at a time.
